Pulse of St. Louis featuring Dr. Bedwinek

St. Louis CyberKnife radiation oncologist John Bedwinek, M.D. was recently on KPLR’s Pulse of St. Louis to discuss the new federal guidelines regarding prostate screening. Dr. Bedwinek talked about the various options for prostate cancer treatment, including active surveillance and radiation therapy using the CyberKnife Robotic Surgery System. Joining Dr. Bedwinek was Geoff Boshier, a former St. Louis CyberKnife patient who was treated for prostate cancer. Mr. Boshier, and his wife Carol, talked about how pleased they were with Geoff’s CyberKnife experience. His prostate cancer treatments were quick (only five visits that were less than an hour each), pain-free, and resulted in no side effects.
